We partnered with #NoBodyIsDisposable to ask fat/higher weight, disabled, BIPOC, and older community members who are both at risk for severe COVID-19 and have been postponing urgent medical care to share their stories. We shared the stories on social media to raise awareness. We also used them in our communications with policy makers as we advocated for this group to receive a higher vaccination priority. Despite federal guidance to the contrary, California had put this group in 1C, meaning this group would have ended up having delayed urgent medical care for a year and a half. We are so honored to share these stories.
